Life

Life, that distance from the cradle to the grave; measurable for one, unfathomable to another.  Life is the act of living, a process that ends with a permanent termination: death. Varying beliefs declare the concept of afterlife, reincarnation, or resurrection.
Earth is the only planet in the universe known to entertain & nourish life. Evidence implies that life on Earth has existed for about 3.7 billion years. There is, however, no conclusive scientific illustration explaining how life originated. The question then shifts from ‘why?’ to ‘how?’ Contemporary scientific models, although vastly abstract, are based on the theory of co-evolution between organisms and their environment as an inherent feature of living systems. In finding the answer to these basic questions, they soon found themselves with so many classifications that it became a strenuous task to formulate the scientific name of every species.
Now it’s shallow to think it’s just us humans to be talked about. Life is to us as it is to marine animals, plants, non-cellular organisms & extraterrestrial beings (if any). Comprehension of the reaction and flexibility of life on Earth, as well as of the molecular systems that some organisms put to use to survive such extremes, will provide a critical constitution for the examination of life beyond Earth.
Zeroing-in back on Earth, where is it that we stand? What is the meaning of life? The meaning of life comprises a philosophical question relating the reason and importance of life or existence in general. The notion can be verbalized through a variety of questions, what have we done for our life? Does my life have an aim? A purpose to strive for? One day pass another, we do find ourselves questioning our intent because we opt not to take the back door as an easy way out of matters anymore. Like every child of the ordinary circumstance, we go through the motions where one nestles the young dream of a raving name, a helpful profession, a loaded pocket. Time defines which dreams deserve the chase. We begin to fish through our past frivolities and try to make the best of something or nothing to project the enhanced attribute in the future. Presently we are set to use careers as an instrument to change our lifestyles. To many, the meaning of life is deeply fused with the religious conceptions of existence, consciousness, happiness, and love.
Democritus (460 BC) was of thought that the core characteristic of life is having a soul. He also suggested that humans originally lived like animals, developing communities with time to help one another, procreating language, and evolving crafts and agriculture.
Lost in the mammoth search of what life is & how it came to being, one may miss out on how life came to its final terms. It’s okay not to make a mark as long as you can smile at how it all went by. If your epitaph doesn’t read ‘what a waste’, you know it was all worth it.

The Defeat at Wembley, No Carling Cup for Arsenal

The match was a strange one. My mood was positive before the match. Pakistan's victory against Srilanka in the Cricket World Cup ensured that. The thought of loosing EL CAPITAN was horrific. The one person who had given more than anybody else to Arsenal over these 5 trophy-less years wouldn't be able to play when we finally mad it to the final of one.

The fist moment of joy was v.Persie's equalizer! Brilliant technique by the Flying Dutchman! It was probably the best goal in the course of Carling Cup.

Second half was played at a frantic pace with Arsenal looking very likely to score a winner. But then THAT awful moment came when Szczeny and Kocielny collided with each other to provide the winner for Martins.

I turned the TV off in Anger at the moment, but the hilarity of the situation soon took over. I realized I didn't minded the loss much.

After five years of anxiously waiting for a trophy I realized I really didn't need one. Trophies are for whiners like Jose Mourinho. The Professor is all about beautiful football. I love the beautiful style and poetic football of Arsenal too much to care about a trophy. Sure, I'll throw on red and party all night if the gunners win anything, but this years Carling Cup final made me realize that I get more upset by a wayward tackle from Song on Messi, than losing a cup final.

So as long as the reds keep playing the beautiful football we all admire. I don't care one bit about winning.

Regrets...

Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, 'Where have I gone wrong?' Then a voice says to me, 'This is going to take more than one night.' - Charlie Brown

Decisions! That's what life is all about. Every act a person performs is a decision being made. And every decision made has a consequence. We all have made decisions in our lives, some more important than others. We all have also made poor decisions that we've regretted later.

We are all aware how miserable the feeling is when we find out that our decision hasn't worked out like we wanted it to.  How many times we think how things would be had we decided on doing things differently. I for one have made enough decisions to regret some of them. If I start dwelling on it, I know it would take more than one night.

However one of the things that I've learned during my brief spell in this world is that past is what we've lived present is what we are living. I've learned that its better to work on your present than to dwell on your past. I've learned that nothing can be achieved by thinking of your mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, the clever thing to do is to own it up and try not to make it again.

Just a little something to keep in mind.

Gunners low on ammo?

The match at Stamford Bridge, according to the frenchman, is likely to be an indicator on how Arsenal's campaign turns out. The usually calm and cool Arsene Wenger is rarely known to add hype to the top four clashes. However Arsene said “It will certainly give an indication of the strengths of the two sides, that is for sure. It’s not too early because it is a confrontation between two top teams. I don’t think it is a decisive game but it is a good indicator about the strengths in the Premier League.”

However Arsenal suffered a major blow when their skipper and talisman Cesc Fabregas was ruled out of sunday game. Fabregas suffered a hamstring injury after scoring a bizarre goal, which was later evened out by a Darren Bent strike. Initially Wenger gave Fabregas a 50:50 chance, but later admitted that his skipper was out of the top-of-the-table clash with Chelsea

This means a major blow for Arsenal. As they now go into the game with a fair few of their top-ranked superstars out with injury. The list includes Manuel Almunia (elbow), Kieran Gibbs (calf), Thomas Vermaelen (Achilles), Nicklas Bendtner (groin), Aaron Ramsey (leg), Theo Walcott (ankle) and Robin van Persie (ankle).

The supple silver lining comes in the from of Abou Diaby returning to the team after his ankle problem.

Chelsea have their full strength squad available for selection, with the exception of Frank Lampard.

Arsene's Skipper Woes

"It looks like a 50:50 but a 50:50 balancing on the negative side."

We all want the Arsenal skipper to play a part in the top-of-the-table clash at Stamford Bridge. Anybody who knows the game knows about the thrill of watching the 23-year-old superstar from Catalonia. We all know how Fabregas can turn the game with a single moment of magic, be it a thumping drive from outside of the box or a through ball effortlessly threaded through the opposition defense.  But Wenger is aware of the risks involved in rushing his players back from injury. The Arsenal has seen the likes of Tomas Rosicky and Robin van Persie returning after a spell on the sidelines, only to be plagued by recurrence of the injuries.

So, unsurprisingly, Wenger was very careful as to what he promised his Arsenal faithful as he faced the press today. When asked about the possible return of Cesc Fabregas, Arsene replied very tactfully saying that Fabregas might not be back against Chelsea. From Arsene's comments it can be deduced that Fabregas is training now with the first team and will be likely to have a medical on saturday which will determine the Arsenal line-up against Chelsea. "I don't know", said the frenchman, talking to Arsenal TV, "It looks like 50:50 but a 50:50 balancing on the negative side. I will find out on saturday morning."

Arsenal fans are acutely aware of Cesc Fabregas's tendency of declaring himself fit prematurely. Last year , in December, Fabregas returned from a hamstring injury as a substitute against Aston Villa to score two goals and then be carried off after worsening his hamstring. Fabregas similarly forced Arsenal to play him against Barcelona earlier this year despite having a bruised bone. After getting into a slight tangle with Carlos Puyol, the Arsenal captain broke his leg.  Arsenal fans argue that it was the turning point of the last campaign and resulted in Arsenal finishing 3rd behind Chelsea and Manchester United.

Welcome

Hey everyone,

Thoughts, vague and pale like ghosts - Jean Rhys

Interesting thought by Miss Rhys. Though her writing indicates that her thoughts were more than mere vague ghost.

Writing is a passion of mine. I do it as a medium to vent out my thoughts, because like Miss Rhys my thoughts are vague and pale unless I put them on a paper through pen ( make that on a screen through a keyboard ).

I've created this blog to express my thoughts out. I've found that a person feels better once he has let out all of his thoughts and shared them with someone. And even better if he finds that someone shares his school of thought.

Paul McCartney says " I never try to make a serious social comment". Sir Paul said it for me too. You'll never find me attempting anything serious here. This is just to put my thought into shape, clear my head and hopefully get to know some other people who think like me.
