The Defeat at Wembley, No Carling Cup for Arsenal

The match was a strange one. My mood was positive before the match. Pakistan's victory against Srilanka in the Cricket World Cup ensured that. The thought of loosing EL CAPITAN was horrific. The one person who had given more than anybody else to Arsenal over these 5 trophy-less years wouldn't be able to play when we finally mad it to the final of one.

The fist moment of joy was v.Persie's equalizer! Brilliant technique by the Flying Dutchman! It was probably the best goal in the course of Carling Cup.

Second half was played at a frantic pace with Arsenal looking very likely to score a winner. But then THAT awful moment came when Szczeny and Kocielny collided with each other to provide the winner for Martins.

I turned the TV off in Anger at the moment, but the hilarity of the situation soon took over. I realized I didn't minded the loss much.

After five years of anxiously waiting for a trophy I realized I really didn't need one. Trophies are for whiners like Jose Mourinho. The Professor is all about beautiful football. I love the beautiful style and poetic football of Arsenal too much to care about a trophy. Sure, I'll throw on red and party all night if the gunners win anything, but this years Carling Cup final made me realize that I get more upset by a wayward tackle from Song on Messi, than losing a cup final.

So as long as the reds keep playing the beautiful football we all admire. I don't care one bit about winning.
